About Mugisha Ministries
Mugisha means "blessing" in Kinyarwanda.
How it all began...
Tina Harriman founded Mugisha Ministries in 2007 after her families adoption of their youngest son, John-Paul Mugisha Harriman from Rwanda. The ministry started as an organization committed to assisting Christian families with independent adoptions of orphans from Rwanda and Uganda. Twenty-five children were connected with their forever families.
Where we are going...
Today Mugisha Ministries partners with NuVision Ministries and generous sponsors to provide educational sponsorships to children in Rwanda. We also hold awareness events and fundraisers for those who are interested in becoming involved in caring for orphans and other vulnerable children in Rwanda. We have just launched our newest endeavor in organizing mission trips to Rwanda for those interested in hands on volunteer opportunities. Our goal is to be a blessing to other organizations that have an everyday impact on the lives of vulnerable children.
